Stages of Treatment
A thorough skin and facial assessment is carried out, looking at areas of the skin which need treatment and areas you are concerned with. Medical history is taken to ensure there are no contraindications to treatment such as pregnancy and breastfeeding. Consent forms are read and discussed in detail to ensure you understand all risks and consequences of the treatments. Photographs are taken with your permission for our records, and if consent is given these may be used for marketing and teaching purposes.
If you are having an invasive procedure such as a dermal filler or anti-wrinkle injections you have the option of topical anaesthetic cream, local anaesthetic injections or the vibrator device which minimises pain, or all of the above. For anti-wrinkle injections, we use a tiny needle which tends to be comfortable with no anaesthetic agent at all. When treatment is complete soothing creams like arnica will be applied and ice packs if needed. Post-operative photographs are taken and aftercare advice is given.
2/3 weeks after treatment a review appointment allows for adjustments and top-ups. After treatment photographs are taken.Queries are answered at this appointment and further appointments booked.
